Stuck In The Middle

Stuck In The Middle (SITM) is a non-profit organization committed to empowering, strengthening, and improving children's mental health by providing professional, educational, and other resources to families navigating divorce, incarceration, or the loss of a parent.

At Stuck In The Middle, our vision is personal and isn't that complex. We know three essential things, children are our future, hurt people hurt people, and it really does take a village to raise a child. By helping to promote awareness, and provide resources and support for mental health to children and their families, we are helping to build healthier minds, a kinder world, and a better future for us all.

SITM offers a range of programs and initiatives designed to address various aspects of emotional well-being:

Art From The Heart
Our flagship program offers both youth and adult courses, workshops, and individual classes that offer a transformative journey that combines emotional awareness, coping strategies, effective communication, and conflict resolution skills through the lens of art-making and other forms of art expression. Art has the power to heal and express what words cannot. Our therapeutic art classes and activities provide an outlet for emotional expression and healing, both for parents and children. These creative endeavors foster self-discovery and emotional growth.

Parenting Education Classes
We believe that informed parenting is the cornerstone of strong families. Our “Breakthrough Parenting” education classes provide valuable guidance and resources to parents, equipping them with effective strategies to navigate the challenges of raising children in changing family dynamics.

Parent Support Group
We understand the unique challenges that single parents face. Our support group, S.A.G. E. offers a safe and nurturing space for single parents to connect, share experiences, and access resources that can make their journey smoother as well as their children's after all, “a happy parent makes a happy child."

Mental Health Training
Mental health is at the core of family well-being. We offer QPR Youth Suicide Prevention certification training and Mental Health First Aid certification training for youth and adult and youth support services to equip individuals with the tools they need to prioritize mental wellness and resilience.

Community Partnership and Resources
We understand that no organization can do it all alone. We actively seek partnerships with local community organizations and agencies to provide families with access to a wide range of resources, from legal support to counseling services. Workshops: We conduct workshops that provide safe spaces for individuals to explore their emotions, learn practical skills, and engage in creative activities.

Impact
In just a short time and through our programs, Stuck In The Middle has impacted many lives, enabling individuals to navigate emotional challenges, develop effective communication skills, and embrace creativity as a pathway to healing.

Get Involved
We invite individuals, volunteers, donors, and partners to join us in our mission of nurturing emotional well-being through creativity. Together, we can create a world where emotional empowerment and healing are accessible to all, regardless of where they are on their journey.
