Welcome to "Digital Storytelling," a dynamic six-week course designed exclusively for teens in grades 8-12 passionate about media and storytelling. This program offers a unique opportunity for young individuals to dive into the world of media making and production, empowering them to find and develop their unique voices in storytelling. 

Over the course of six weeks, participants will engage in various hands-on activities including interviewing techniques, writing compelling narratives, and producing engaging stories. The course emphasizes not just the technical aspects of media production but also the art of storytelling, encouraging students to explore and tell the untold stories of their community. 

By the end of this course, participants will not only have developed a stronger understanding of media production but will also have created their own stories, ready to be shared with their community and beyond. This program is more than just a course; it's an opportunity to make an impact through the power of storytelling. 

Key Features: 

Interview Skills: Learn how to conduct insightful interviews that capture the essence of the subject. 

Writing Reviewing and Editing: Develop writing skills to transform interviews and research into captivating stories. 

Production Techniques: Gain practical experience in the basics of media production, from audio and video editing to effective storyboarding. 

Voice Development: Exercises and guidance to help students find and refine their unique storytelling voice. 

Community Focus: Emphasis on uncovering and sharing untold stories within their own communities, fostering a sense of connection, and understanding. 

Peer Collaboration: Work in teams to create projects, fostering collaboration, creativity, and mutual learning. 

Eligibility For residents of Camden City in grades 8-12.
