The Work Group's NOPE program is a youth-focused early intervention program. The program is strategically designed to confront substance use, tackle associated challenges, and illuminate residents about its profound impact on individuals, families, and our broader community. The program's commitment to community engagement extends beyond mere intervention in substance misuse; we aim to actively engage, educate, and empower the community, fostering lasting positive change.
The program's primary focus is on educating school age students about the real-life impacts of alcohol and drug use, emphasizing the long-term risks associated with substance misuse. This educational mission is at the core of our efforts to change behavior and prevent substance misuse. In addition to working with schools, The Work Group’s NOPE program will continue to partner with a diverse network of Camden County summer programs, youth-serving organizations, recreational groups, and providers serving out-of-school youth.
To date, in 2024, The Work Group’s NOPE program has conducted 95 presentations, reaching a total of 12,071 people. These efforts highlight NOPE's commitment to delivering impactful substance use prevention education across various communities. The significant reach of the program underscores its vital role in raising awareness and providing education to prevent overdose and substance abuse, particularly among youth and at-risk populations. Since its launch in 2023, The Work Group’s NOPE Program has cumulatively delivered over 140 presentations across Camden County, reaching more than 20,600 youth and community members with critical prevention messaging.
