Helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities acquire daily life and social skills in a natural home-like setting

YCS Sawtelle Homes & Residences provide intensive behavioral interventions for children, adolescents and young adults with acute developmental and intellectual disabilities (including autism spectrum disorders) and co-occurring behavioral challenges in home-like environments.

Loving, often bewildered, families turn to YCS when they are no longer able to manage their children’s defiant, aggressive or self-injurious behaviors. Sawtelle Homes & Residences give family members peace of mind knowing that their child is learning how to control his or her behaviors in a safe nurturing environment.

Sawtelle Services:

Our caring staff works intensely with each child to support the child’s positive functioning, manage and eliminate challenging behaviors, increase home skills, (including self care and activities of daily living) and improve leisure skills through community activities such as trips to a shopping center, swimming pool, park or movie.

All staff are certified in CPI, Handle with Care and Boggs Training

Eligibility	All referrals must be authorized by a CMO or DCF if children are under the age of 21. All referrals for youth over the age of 21 must be authorized by the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
